- Firearm Safety Certificate – This certificate is for anyone who wants to own a firearm. Before a person can have a firearm in their possession they must obtain this certificate.
Who is the firearm safety course for?
- Family members – anyone living in a household that stores a firearm should have some type of firearm safety course. It is important for the members of the family to understand what the firearm is and how to handle the firearm should they come across it in the house.
- Anyone – any person who is interested in firearm safety. Even if a person does not have a firearm in their home, but is interested in firearm safety this is a great course. This course is also a good for anyone who has never handled a firearm before. If they were ever to be at someone’s home who had a firearm and it was left out they would not be afraid of it, and would understand what to do with it.
- Owning a firearm – anyone who is interested in owning a firearm should absolutely take this course. He or she needs to be aware however that they will also be required to pass the Firearm Safety Certificate exam to earn their Firearm Safety Certificate in order to own the firearm. The firearm safety course is a good way to begin the process of owning a firearm.
What Does the Firearm Safety Course go over?
The purpose of this course is to go over basic safety gun information. The goal of the course is to educate anyone who comes in contact with any type of firearm on: proper firearm safety, handling, loading and unloading of firearm, and safe and secure storage of a firearm.
Be aware, that this course does not give a person a license to own a firearm. This course is designed for basic knowledge of a firearm not for being the owner of a firearm.
